The Parking Sign Situation: An Update Nobody Asked For (Except Me)

Following last week's item on the Harbourmaster's new parking restriction signs, I can confirm that the colour dispute has now escalated to the point where someone has submitted a formal complaint to the Town Council.

For those just joining us: the signs are yellow. The question is which yellow. The Harbourmaster's office maintains they are regulation yellow. Four separate residents maintain they are not. One of those residents has produced a RAL colour chart as evidence. I am not going to tell you which RAL number they believe the signs should be, because then you'll look it up and we'll all lose an afternoon.

The Town Council has acknowledged receipt of the complaint. This is, in local government terms, essentially a standing ovation.
