20th Annual Zombie Walk Details

The Kerris Bay Zombie Walk

Twenty years ago, four surfers lost a bet and were obliged to walk the length of Kerris Bay High Street covered in sea kelp and tomato ketchup. From that deeply unpromising origin, the Kerris Bay Zombie Walk was born.

This October 31st — yes, actually on Halloween, which hasn't happened in eleven years — the Walk celebrates its twentieth anniversary. Gathering at the Harbour Car Park at 7pm. Route to be confirmed here, and nowhere else, because I asked first.

I've already had three separate tip-offs about this year's window displays. The Tin Miner's Table appears to be planning something that will require a deep clean in November. The Smuggler's Rest has cocktails incoming that I am told are, quote, "extremely red." Updates to follow.

If you're new to this: it's the best night of the year. If you already know that: see you there.
